Kio House of Kids is SCHLOSS Roxburghe's latest addition - an exciting and engaging Kids Club nestled in the heart of the estate.

It features three indoor spaces, each with its own unique focus, an outdoor play area, and an adjacent forest for nature exploration and discovery.

Grounded in a philosophy of environmental awareness and sustainable living, Kio's message emphasizes that every action, no matter how small, affects the entire planet. Inspired by the original story "Kio the Little Big Seahorse," our Kids Club is excited to present the next chapter, "Kio, Everything in Flow."

This new story explores the water cycle, the migration of salmon, and the interconnectedness of all ecosystems. These themes are woven into the Kids Club's activities, offering families and children a perfect environment to create, learn, and play together.

Activities at Kio are designed to be fun and engaging ways to get kids learning, creating and exploring.

Our activities take place both indoors and outdoors, with the theme of sustainability and environmental consciousness running throughout.

Kio - House of Kids is open to children between 4-12 years of age. Children younger than this may access the facilities, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Activity sessions must be booked ahead of time and each session can accommodate a maximum of 8 children. Walk-ins may be accommodated at the manager's discretion, however children must then be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Children must be supervised when using the playground.

FAQs

Is access to the kids club free?

Yes. All children between the ages of 4-12 who are guests at SCHLOSS Roxburghe are welcome to use the kids club free of charge.

When is the kids club open?

The kids club is open Wednesday to Sunday, between 09:30 - 17:00. It is closed for one hour each day between 12:00 - 13:00.

Who can access the kids club?

Access to the kids club is available to all guests between the ages of 4 - 12. Guests under the age of 4 may access the kids club, provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

What activities are available?

Please consult our activity schedule for a full list of activities offered. Activities are limited to 8 children per session.

Is Food Available in the kids club?

No food is available in the kids club. Children requiring food for medical reasons will be accommodated if food is supplied by the parent or guardian.

Will somebody administer required medication to my child?

Our staff will not administer medication to children. If your child requires a regular intake of medication, we ask that a parent or guardian is available to do this.

What if my child is sick?

To protect other children, we ask that any child who is sick to not visit the kids club.
